Bellatorum Resources Pro Classic Brings Pro Tennis Back to Tyler, Texas




$80K USTA Pro Circuit Event to be Hosted at Tyler Athletic and Swim Cub Oct. 26 - Nov. 1


Tyler, TX (September 21, 2020) Professional tennis will return to Tyler, Texas this fall as the Bellatorum Resources Pro Classic, an $80K USTA Pro Circuit event, has officially announced that it will host the tournament at Tyler Athletic and Swim Club October 26th through November 1st, 2020.


The tournament, in its fourth year at Tyler Athletic and Swim Club, will be one of only a handful of events to be hosted in the U.S. for the remainder of 2020. Part of the USTA’s Australian Open Wild Card series, the player who puts together the best results in Tyler, Macon and Charleston will be awarded a main draw wild card to the 2021 Australian Open. Singles and Doubles draws will be contested.

The USTA has introduced a number of new safety procedures to keep players and officials safe, and the tournament will not be open to the outside public for spectator access. Members of Tyler Athletic and Swim Club and sponsor guests will have access to the tournament, on a limited capacity basis, to watch matches courtside. The tournament will be streamed online for the public at no cost.


Past competitors have used the tournament as a spring-board to compete on the biggest stages of professional tennis, with names such as Sofia Kenin, Amanda Anisimova, CoCo Vandewhege, Caty McNally and Belinda Bencic having played in Tyler. Mandy Minella was the 2019 singles champion.
